Ed Benguiat

Ed Benguiat is almost certainly the most prolific typeface designer that has ever lived, responsible for the creation of over 1000 alphabet designs. Many of these designs are instantly recognizable to nearly everyone, and include ITC Souvenir, ITC Benguiat, and ITC Bookman. In addition he has designed some of the most visible logos in the world, including AT&T, the New York Times and A&E. He is also one of the most colorful and charismatic figures to grace the international type and graphic design scene in the last half century. His work continues to influence the look and feel of our world and the way that we see it.
