Summary
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
"A huge betrayal, an adventure through the centuries, and a mystery that struggles to come to light.
NOTHING IS AS THEY HAD TOLD US
THE GREATEST BETRAYAL IN HISTORY IS ABOUT TO BE REVEALED
While working in an ancient church in Donostia, art restorer, Marta Arbide, finds a manuscript that's been hidden behind a false wall for centuries. It's the diary of Jean de la Croix, a medieval monk who, a thousand years ago, was given a mission: take a mysterious relic to a safe hiding place and flee from the hit men who, by order of Pope Innocent III, were chasing him to steal it.
Intrigued by the contents of the diary, the restorer decides to investigate Jean's history and find out for herself if the contents of those old papers are true. In which case, it could completely change the history of the Church as it's been told to us. To do this she will have the help of Iñigo Etxarri, a priest with a dark past.
Together they will embark on a journey in search of clues that have stood the test of time, which will take them from the abbeys and forests of south France to the monasteries of San Millán and Santo Domingo de la Calzada and the vestiges of ancient Sanctus Sebastianus.
Why was Jean running away? What power did the strange object have that he carried with him? The key to everything could reside in a secret jealously guarded since the year 33 of our era, just hours after the death of Jesus Christ, when something happened that his apostles decided to conceal...
