Katherine Taken Smith. Dr. Katherine T. Smith has served on the faculties at the University of Mississippi and Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Smith has authored numerous research articles which have appeared in various professional journals such as The CPA Journal, Today's CPA, Accounting Education (UK), and National Public Accountant. Currently she serves on the editorial boards of five national journals. She has authored five books, including an educational novel entitled The Bottom Line is Betrayal ( http://www.iolbv.com/murphy/novels/ ) which has been described as an "instructional thriller" that provides an innovative way to present business concepts and issues to students. In addition, she has made presentations at professional meetings in the U.S. and abroad.

L. Murphy Smith. Dr. L. Murphy Smith, CPA is Assistant Department Head and Professor in the Accounting Department at Texas A&M University. He received his doctorate from Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Smith's accomplishments include numerous professional journal articles, research grants, books, and professional meeting presentations in the U.S. and abroad. His major research interests are systems, auditing, ethics, and international issues. His work has been cited in various news media, including Fortune, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal. Lawrence C. Smith, Jr. Lawrence C. Smith, Jr., PhD is a Professor of Economics at Louisiana Tech University. He received his doctorate from the University of Mississippi. He has developed expertise on a wide variety of business and economics issues. In his distinguished career, Dr. Smith has made significant academic contributions in teaching, research, and service. He has played many roles in various professional organizations, including serving 27 years as Secretary-Treasurer of the Academy of Economics and Finance. In 1999 he was selected as the first Fellow of the Academy of Economics and Finance. Dr. Smith's accomplishments include numerous professional journal articles, books, and professional meeting presentations.
