In the new version of the Windows platform, version 7, many applications have been pulled from the operating system and are being made available for the first time to the audience as free live downloads from the MSFT web site. Together, the suite is called Windows Live Essentials and it includes Windows Live Services (Hotmail, Spaces, etc.). This book will cover freely available applications including Live Mail, Live Writer, Live Calendar, Live Events, Photo Gallery, and more. It will also help illustrate how to protect younger computer users by presenting Family Safety as well. Live services such as Instant Messaging, SkyDrive, Live Spaces, and Live Groups will also be presented . The book will focus on giving the readers the essential information on using the applications and services. These applications and services that can either be downloaded or run from a Windows machine or that can be run online. This book will show people how to access and/or download these applications as well as show them how to use them to accomplish common tasks.
