Summary

Eight Fairy Nights captures the magic of Hanukkah and illuminates the importance of being our best and standing up for what we believe. The book strives to engage children intellectually and emotionally in understanding the virtues associated with the Maccabees. The Fairies represent the magic of the oil burning for eight nights. Each Fairy exemplifies a different admirable virtue of the Maccabees.
As Hanukkah approaches Hanukkah Hailey, the queen of the Hanukkah Fairies, ignites the spirit of Hanukkah with riddles. Children delight in answering Hanukkah Hailey's riddles as the countdown to Hanukkah begins. Families are encouraged to name a doll Hanukkah Hailey and place her with riddles about the house. Children delight in answering Hanukkah Hailey's riddles as the anticipation of Hanukkah intensifies. Families come together to choose their eight fairies to display. Whether hanging from a chandelier, tucked under the stairwell or adorning the mantle, each presentation is unique and special.
As a candle is lit nightly families may choose a Fairy Card to give added meaning to the giving of presents. Each Fairy Card embodies a different virtue associated with the Maccabees. The giving of presents associated with the virtues enhances the experience.
Eight Fairy Nights, a krugerWEISBERG Family tradition born 2020, was crafted to nurture a meaningful and fun Hanukkah experience for our young fairy granddaughters. Each year the tradition grows and morphs.
