Author Biography

Joseph Provey is the former chief editor of Family Handyman, Mechanix Illustrated/Home Mechaniz, and Practical Homeowner magazines. He has authored several home improvement books, including the Creative Homeowner titles Better Lawns, and Design Ideas for Flooring as well as many articles for national home and garden magazines. Provey began his career as a carpenter and now lives in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
