Author Biography

Stephen B. Neufeld is a professor at California State University, Fullerton, where he teaches Latin American and Mexican history. His previous works include Mexico in Verse: A History of Music, Rhyme, and Power and The Blood Contingent: The Military and the Making of Modern Mexico, 18761911 as well as numerous chapters and articles.
