The Bucs is the story of a baseball club.
The word “story” is purposely used in lieu of the more common designation “history.” A baseball club rarely has a history in the strictest sense of the word. Dr. John McCollister is an incurable baseball romantic. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, he has celebrated the Pirates during their years of glory and has moaned the times they struggled for survival. He brings to The Bucs a contagious enthusiasm not only for the Pirates but also for the glory of the game as it should be played. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
