Summary

This novella tells the story of a long day and night in which Wiley, a good-natured but somewhat irresponsible college student, and his friend, Twain, who both live in Montana, have to babysit a child and simultaneously meet Wiley's ne'er-do-well father at a run down trailer part, His father, Bob Cerulean, has to escape a poker game gone wrong, secure a vehicle from his son, and find some money in a hurry. They meet friends and strangers that both help and complicate their plans in this brief and highly entertaining tale.

Author Biography

Jim Walker is a retired English teacher. He taught high school and middle school English for 31 years. He also coached girls' and boys' basketball for that time period. He gained a Master's degree in playwriting from the University of Montana in 1986. He received a Bachelor's degree in philosophy from Montana State University in 2022. He lives a normal life in his hometown of Livingston, Montana with occasional bursts of happiness.
