Author Biography

Syne Mitchell entered college at the age of thirteen and graduated summa cum laude when she was fifteen. She has a master’s degree in solid-state physics and now works as a Web developer for an online gaming site. She is the author of The Changeling Plague, Technogenesis, and her Compton Crook Award–winning debut, Murphy’s Gambit. Her short fiction has appeared in such publications as Writers of the Future, Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Fantasy Magazine, and Talebones. When she’s not writing code or science fiction, you can find Syne shooting the rapids in her kayak, practicing kung fu, or crafting jewelry in her studio. She lives in North Bend, Washington, with her husband. Visit Syne on the Web at www.sff.net/people/syne.
