An excellent text for a pre-Computer Science II class. The textbook was clear, concise, easy to understand for me, and the exercises really helped to emphasize the major points of each chapter. Most importantly, it is the most error free text I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I was amazed how fast I received my textbook. I ordered this textbook a two weeks before my class and I got it before my class began.

Summary

Data Structures and Other Objects Using C++ takes a gentle approach to the data structures course in C++. Providing an early, self-contained review of object-oriented programming and C++, this text gives students a firm grasp of key concepts and allows those experienced in another language to adjust easily. Author Biography

Michael Main is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned his BS, MS, and PhD at Washington State University.

Walter Savitch is Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at the University of California at San Diego. His interests include complexity theory, formal language theory, computational linguistics, and the development of computer science education materials, including several leading textbooks. He holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.
