Author Biography

<b>Madeleine L'Engle </b>is the author of more than fifty books of fiction, poetry, autobiography, and nonfiction, including the highly acclaimed <i>Walking on Water</i>. She is best known for her Time Trilogy: <i>A Wrinkle in Time</i> (winner of the Newbery Medal), <i>A Wind in the Door,</i> and <i>A Swiftly Tilting Planet</i> (winner of the American Book Award). She has traveled widely from her home base in New York, leading retreats, lecturing at writers' conferences, and addressing church and student groups in the U.S. and abroad.
