Author Biography

Simin Liu, M.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology and the director of nutrition research, Division of Preventive Medicine, at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is also an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Kathy McManus, M.S., R.D., is the director of the Department of Nutrition at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She is also the director of nutrition and behavior modification for the Program for Weight Management at Brigham and Women's Hospital in association with the Harvard School of Public Health.

John A. Carlino, CE., CCE, F.M.P, is the chairman of culinary education at the Florida Culinary Institute. He is a Certified Executive Chef and Culinary Educator from the American Culinary Federation.
