Author Biography

Marine Freibrun earned her bachelor of arts from the University of California, Irvine, and her masters of arts in educational leadership from California State University, Northridge. She is currently a fifth-grade teacher who has previously taught second, third, sixth, and eighth grade. She has also served as an instructional coach, English Language Development coach, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports coach for her district, as well as the head teacher for her school site. Marine enjoys working with teachers through professional development and mentorship, all while continuously learning new, effective methods to implement in her daily teaching. She is also the author of the blog Tales from a Very Busy Teacher. She lives in Southern Idaho with her two amazing boys and supportive husband.

Carin Fractor is currently a district administrator with over 20 years' experience in public education. Her experiences range from paraeducator, classroom teacher, instructional coach, school site administrator, district leader, and mom to her two elementary-age children. Carin holds a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California as well as a master's degree in educational administration from California State University, Northridge. She currently resides in southern California with her family, including two dogs and three birds. 

Sandy Brunet is a seasoned school administrator with over 15 years' experience leading schools in California, Hawaii, and Florida. Her educational leadership experiences include leadership roles in traditional public brick and mortar schools, virtual charter schools, and hybrid blended learning schools. Sandy holds a master's degree in educational administration and a bachelor of arts in communication studies from UCLA. When she isn’t knee deep in school leadership she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons in their north Florida community.
