Author Biography

Eric Becker has a rich history of starting, backing, and nurturing companies. His entrepreneurial journey began as an economics student at the University of Chicago, where he wrote his first business plan in his dorm room. Today, as the Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Cresset, he oversees an award-winning multi-family office with over $50+ billion assets under management. Eric has become a go-to advisor for founders, entrepreneurs, private equity partners and ultra-high net worth families, connecting them with the likes of Mark Cuban, Ray Dalio, and Walter Isaacson.

As a world-class entrepreneur, Eric co-founded Sterling Partners (1983), a growth private equity firm and later founded the Caretta Group (2015), a private investment firm that invests in customer-focused growth companies with compelling missions. His ventures also include Vennpoint (2015), a real estate investment firm and LifeCard International (Co-Founder), a healthcare technology company.

Driven by a mission of mentorship and to pay it forward to the next generation of entrepreneurs, Eric’s relentless curiosity and insatiable appetite for learning led him to write his first book, The Long Game.
