Author Biography

Tim Sample is known throughout Maine and other parts of New England for his Down East humor. He got his start in the 1970s doing a standup comedy act with Marshall Dodge, the co-creator of the popular "Bert and I" characters, and Sample later went on to record several albums with the Bert and I Company. Since then he has worked on a variety of other projects, including authoring Saturday Night at Moody's Diner and publishing several videos and CDs of Down East humor. His "Postcards from Maine" essays have appeared on CBS Sunday Morning regularly since 1996.
