The king and queen are dead. Long live the princess.

When the king and queen of Magog are murdered, and the monstrous denizens of the Monsterwood are blamed for their deaths, infant Princess Jocasta is left as the heir to the throne, with the ominous Tiberius as Regent. As her sixteenth birthday approaches, she is determined to return to the Monsterwood to complete the rite to be anointed as queen— but Tiberius forbids it, due to the dangers that lurk there.

The streets of Magog, however, are no less dangerous, especially for those with Mahru heritage, who are oppressed by Tiberius and his elite Zumari forces. Teenaged Jovis has gotten into trouble one too many times, and his only safe haven is the equally treacherous Monsterwood. When he encounters a disguised Jocasta and her companion, Scrag, traveling there, he boldly assures them they won't make it far without him. Together, the three discover there's danger in the Monsterwood— and Magog— than they ever realized, and none if it is quite what they believed…

Chris Campana has worked for Marvel, Hasbro, IDW, Dynamite, and Image comics on titles such as Ghost Rider, Red Goblin, Spider Boy,Gi-Joe, Deadpool, DeathDealer, TMNT, Red Sonja, Lady Death, Vampirella, Pathfinder, Tellos, and Blind Justice. Chris is also a multi-Ringo award nominated writer and artist for his work on the Indie comic hit The Adventures of Parker Reef. Steve Ellis, illustrator, has been a fantasy illustrator and comics artist for the last 25 years. After illustrating for clients like Marvel Comics( Iron Man, X-men, Darkstar and the Winter Guard), DC Comics ( Green Lantern, Lobo) and Wizards of the Coast,(MAGIC THE GATHERING, DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS) as well as Blizzard (WORLD OF WARCRAFT) he co-created the award- winning graphic novel series The Only Living Boy,The Only Living Girl and High Moon. Illustrating and storytelling Monsterwood has been an exciting opportunity for Steve to take his comic work and mix it with his fantasy style. He enjoys exploring the lush creepy dark world and epic story lines of the Monsterwood forest. Nick Efstathiou is a husband, father and writer living in New Hampshire. He currently works as a high school history teacher and enjoys collecting books and LEGO sets. Under the banner of SKINWALKER STUDIOS, Jason Rosen has designed/sculpted/ and or provided Special effects for Wes Craven, NBC /Universal, Chiller Channel, University of Connecticut, Ithaca International Film Fest, Boston Underground Film Festival, Lead Concept Artist Paul Gerrard, Film Directors Wes Craven, A.D.
