Summary

Nature is an amazing inventor, one that humans have always looked to for inspiration. In this intriguing book, readers take a side-by-side look at nature's inventive genius and the human innovation it inspired. From the amazingly light engineering of a bird (airplane struts), to the tenacity of burrs (velcro), the efficient power of teeth (chisels), and the smooth propulsion of the squid (jet engines), this book celebrates the diversity of nature and profound ingenuity of so many of the modern conveniences we take for granted.
