Author Biography

Phyllis Reynolds Naylor loves picnics, especially when her whole family goes along. Her two sons are grown and married now but when everyone gets together, grandchildren, too, it's the time she likes best.

She is the author of more than one hundred books, including the Newbery Award-winning Shiloh and its sequels, Shiloh Season and Saving Shiloh. She writes for all ages, but some of her other picture books include King of the Playground, Keeping a Christmas Secret, "I Can't Take You Anywhere!", Sweet Strawberries, and Ducks Disappearing.

Mrs. Naylor lives in Bethesda, Maryland.
