The use of magnetic resonance imaging has increased significantly in veterinary medicine. Small Animal MRI serves as the seminal reference for specialists using MRI in the diagnosis and treatment of veterinary patients. Although MRI is used most frequently in the diagnosis of neurologic disorders, it also has significant application to other body systems. This book covers normal anatomy and specific clinical conditions of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, abdomen, thorax, and head and neck. Patrick R. Gavin, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVR (Radiology and Radiation Oncology), is Professor Emeritus in Veterinary Radiology, Washington State University. He is the CEO of MR Vets, Inc. a company dedicated to MRI interpretation and consultation for animals. He has over 20 years of experience with MRI as a diagnostic modality for animals.

Rodney S. Bagley, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM (Internal Medicine and Neurology), is Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Washington State University. He has extensive clinical experience in neuroimaging and is also the author of Fundamentals of Veterinary Clinical Neurology, published by Blackwell Publishing in 2005.
