Author Biography
GERTRUDE CRAMPTON (1909-1996) graduated from the University of Michigan and became a teacher. Later she edited textbooks and wrote science books for young readers. In the 1940s she also wrote two Little Golden Books that rank among the bestselling picture books of all time: Scuffy the Tugboat and Tootle.
SUE DiCICCO is a former Disney animator and the author/illustrator of many beloved storybooks for children. She lives in Santa Barbara, California, where she dons both superhero cape and princess tiara with equal grace and aplomb.
