Author Biography

Laster M. Salamon is the director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies. He has written or edited more than twenty books on the nonprofit sector and the tool of government, including the Resilient Sector: The State of Nonprofit America (Brooking, 2003), Rethinking Corporate Social Engagement (Kumarian, 2010), and Americas Nonprofit Sector: A Primer, 3rd ed. (The Foundation Center, 2012).
