Summary

The winner of two gold awards at the 19th annual MIPA Book Awards, This Sold House by Diane Keyes is an entertaining, easy-to-read do-it-yourself staging book designed to help sellers sell their homes quickly and for the highest price. Filled with hundreds of quick, easy, low- and no-cost ideas, tips, and techniques, it gives home sellers all the information they need to create the most marketable property with the least amount of money, time and effort. NO decorating savvy required! This book not only shows sellers how to attract buyers and get the best price, it contains the eight keys to a quick sale, the seven secrets of successful staging and a detailed checklist to make the process foolproof. Buying a home is an emotional response to how someone feels about a house-it's about psychology not decorating. This Sold House shows sellers how to create an environment where buyers feel comfortable because the more comfortable they are in a space the more it feels like home.

Author Biography

One of the country's first homestagers, Diane Keyes has been bringing her innovative approach to her home staging career and the real estate industry for more than twenty years. Her unique talents have brought her to four-star restaurants, multi-million-dollar island get-aways, and thousands of private homes. And when they needed someone to prepare the state mansion for the Swedish royal family the governor's wife called Diane. She first began teaching home staging classes in 1988 and has since taught her staging techniques to many realtors seeking to fulfill their continuing education requirements. Along with consummate staging advice, Diane brings understanding and insight to the complex psychological issues surrounding the sale of a home, a much ignored but vitally important facet of real estate sales. Bringing together her years of experience staging homes for sale and her writing ability, Diane has written This Sold House, a do-it-yourself home staging guide designed to teach the average homeowner how to stage a home to sell quickly with the least amount of money, time and effort. This Sold House has been endorsed by Joan Steffend host of HGTV's Decorating Cents and is already considered the ultimate source of staging information by many realtors and homeowners alike. Also an accomplished author, Diane's children's book, "Spirit of the Snowpeople" was released by Down East Books last fall and sold out the first printing less than three weeks after its publication date.
